Medium: Cold cast bronze, bonded to a cast or stone base with plaque.

Dimenions: The height of the sculpture/w base is 8”, and the weight is about five pounds.

Comments: This sculpture is an exact replica, scaled down, of the original bronze sculpture (slightly over lifesize) of C.S. Lewis which I did for the Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton College, in Wheaton, Illinois, and which commemorates the service of my father, Dr. Paul M. Bechtel, who taught English at Wheaton from 1946-1977. The Wade Center houses an extensive archive of Lewis materials, along with materials from six other writers, including J.R.R. Tolkien and G.K Chesterton.
