Artist’s comments:

In the fall of 2012, a representative of the Arts Committee of the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church asked me if I would be interested in sculpting a set of Nativity figures. I took six months to consider the request. Why? Because it just seemed to me like there could be no way to get beyond cliche and convention with it.
