COMMENTS:
I love the Biblical story of Jacob wrestling the Angel, and several years ago sculpted a rough maquette of the episode. Finally, I came back to the piece, reworking the original maquette and then starting new. I allowed myself to separate more and more from the storyline, tacking toward a work I hope is metamorphic, changing as the viewer's perspective changes and never quite giving up its secrets.
